Thanks Giving Day – 24th November 2017
“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow”
24th November 2017, the very next day of the installation ceremony was kept as the thanks giving day. We all were very happy to express our gratitude towards Rev. Sr. Liya Karumancheril and her team. As they had guided our province for the past six years we expressed our heartfelt appreciation to them. Many of us were struggling to control our tears as we gratefully embraced them as part of the prayer service conducted by the sisters.
There was a solemn celebration of Holy Mass at 6.15 in the evening to put across our deepest love and sincere thanks to them. It was celebrated by Rev. Fr. William D’souza the Dean of Studies of Don Bosco Keezhmad. Representatives from all the communities were present here for the Holy Mass and for the cultural programme. During the cultural programme the representatives of each community pointed out the good qualities that they found among them and they gave away some presentations as the sign of their love.
The new Provincial Rev. Sr. Biji Mulackal expressed her deepest gratitude towards Rev. Sr. Liya and all the cherished memories she had experienced when they were together. As we heard about the hard work that they had done for the growth of the province we could not but cry. May the Gracious Lord reward them with His choicest blessings. May the pain that they had undergone to radiate His love be raised to His Divine presence.
